Luannan County hospital was founded in 1963. It is a large general hospital  with integration of medical，health care, emergency, rehabilitation, research, teaching. It is also a national Upper-Second-class hospital and the baby friendly hospital, trustful hospital ,health care, New rural cooperative medical system, Urban Residents Basic Health Insurance, Insurance examination, workplace injury and traffic injury treatment designated hospital, County Maternal Rescue Center, County 120 emergency command center. It is the only county public general hospital in Luannan County.

　　Luannan hospital covers an area of 120 mu, with a total construction area of 52 thousand and 600 square meters. The comprehensive building is composed of a 17storey  ward building and a 4 storey of out patient, medical technology building ,with open746 beds, a 3 storey building which is used for infectious diseases department , a 2 storey office building and administrative logistics. It has 835 staff，professional and technical personnel 670，Senior professional title 5 people，associate senior professional title 81 people. It has clinical, medical and administrative departments and other department totally 53 departments, the county hospital opened a total of 17 clinical departments, Internal medicine system, including 6 Internal medicine wards, pediatric infectious diseases wards, department of traditional Chinese medicine, medical treatment involving neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, endocrine, blood, immune rheumatism medicine, poisoning disease and other professional, And opened 15 CCU beds , 17 ICU  beds, can undertake all kinds of urgent and critical care and treatment tasks. By the end of 2014,the Department of traditional Chinese medicine  successfully  applied for the12th Five-Year key traditional Chinese medicine department, and successfully passed the inspection and acceptance of the Tangshan City Health Bureau and unveiled a commemorative plaque. Surgical system consists of 5 surgical  departments , obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, eye, according to the professional division can carry out various kinds of specialized operation, Department of neurosurgery was established by the Tangshan City Municipal Health Bureau for the development of municipal medical key disciplines, each year a variety of craniotomy 260 cases, of which the treatment of severe traumatic brain injury and hypertension cerebral hemorrhage reached the domestic advanced level.

　　Luannan Emergency center is the only formal legal emergency institutions.it set up in Luannan hospital, integrated with pre-hospital care and hospital rescue. It is charged with rescue mission of medical rescue and major accident in the whole county.
